Education Support

Help teach children, develop educational materials, provide tutoring, and support our learning programs. Perfect for teachers, students, and education enthusiasts.

Healthcare Support

Volunteering Activities in Detail

Explore specific roles and contributions available across our programs

Education & Mentoring

  • • Teaching English, literacy, basic maths or conversation in our school
  • • Mentoring or running after-school programs, youth clubs, sports/arts with children

Community Health & Hygiene

Once a week we conduct hygiene, sanitation and public health awareness programs (hand-washing, water quality), malaria and menstrual health education for adolescents. We rotate to different LCs within our community.

Agriculture, Environment & Livelihoods

  • • Community-based agriculture: teaching best practices, gardening, tree planting and livestock feed production
  • • Environment/conservation: tree planting and sustainability initiatives
  • • Income-generation: setting up small enterprises and micro-finance groups
  • • Women empowerment initiatives

Administration & Communications

Help with professional skills: fundraising, website/social-media management, outreach and research. Administrative support includes data-entry, file management, event organizing, and donor coordination.

📋 Ideal for professionals seeking remote or office-based volunteering

Construction & Maintenance

Building and repairing school buildings, classrooms, latrines, and other infrastructure projects. This involves physical work that requires good stamina and adaptability to basic working conditions.

Volunteering Support Package

This is the fee payable to volunteer with Eastern Kids Uganda

$198 per week

Maximum Duration: 6 weeks

Package Includes:

  • Accommodation at our on-site volunteer house
